Rain rain go away, come again another daydeath is cruelty and now I am gone; to share you my experience while playing Ant Rush. Its a game review, I mean. To have a background about the game. In short, Ant rush is fun, for its gsme mechanic, game theme and its components.
First, its game mechanic is action point allowance system wherein you will only have a limited move for your turn. Its simple but fun, with its twist of course. Your objective is to get the sugar cubes to your colony as you are divided to impress your queen ant because when you take home a sugar cube you will also earn a victory point.
Second, its theme where ants will impress the queen ant by taking home a sugar cube. Its an ant game. I always remember ants whenever I play this. Its not hard to understand and you need to use your cruelty and brain to win the game.
Third is the game components where they used illustration board for the landscape. Of coyrse they draw grasses and the colony itself with gridlines for guide Its victory points represents a circle token where they used sticker paper. Its not that hard to play the components because it is visible and light. In addition, its attractive to see the theme of the game.
Finally, you already have a background about his game but there are more things to remember about playing because every 3, 4, 5... and followed rounds it rains inside the game and so then all the ants outside the colony dies. It hurts to lose someone.
There, done! Its fantastic right? You will enjoy this game even if it requires not much thinking skills because its simple, yet fun!

Game Review #1: Ant Rush
-Meg-
Ant Rush
In this game you play as an ant and your goal is to get the most sugar cubes back to your colony before the rain arrives. For a simple theme and goal, this game is very much enjoyable and fun. The theme might appeal more to kids ages five and above but the game itself is playable for all ages. I found it fun because of the simplicity because it is very easy to understand and as people always say, simplicity is beauty!
The game uses the mechanic action point allowance. Action point allowance means players get certain action points which they can use to move their pieces and a lot more. Some action points are buyable and some a fixed. In the game Ant Rush, each player gets three action points at the beginning of every round. Players have three turns at the first round, four turns at the second round, five turns for the third round and so on. The game ends at round five. At the end of every round, the "rain" comes and kills every ant outside the colony, which means you lose your pieces if you don't strategize well. For those three action points you can move your ant or the sugar cube. The board has three areas, the first area right next to the colony, the middle area and the last area where the sugar cubes are placed. The goal is to get the sugar cube and bring it back to the colony but you can only move the sugar cube if your ant is one block near it (it could either be on your left, right, front or back) and before you could add another ant you must first move your first ant to the next area. Lastly, you can only pass the sugar cube to your ant if you only have another ant behind you and another ant waiting at the colony. All these for only three action points. It sounds complicated at first, but if you try and play the game for yourself, you'll see how simple and easy it is.
The game has three components: the pieces- these are the ants you'll be using to move around the board, the board itself and the sugar cubes. The ants are small circular tokens divided into four different colors so players can easily distinguish which ants are theirs. The sugar cubes are rectangular pieces scattered on the sides of the board for the players to collect. Lastly, there's the board with a ten by ten size. The game components are easy simple and easy to maneuver around which is a good thing, especially for board games that requires the players to move around the board a lot. Personally, I think it would be a lot more fun if there were more sugar cubes and the board was a little bit bigger. But the game is enjoyable and fun enough for a friendly game.
Because of the theme, Ant Rush might look like a kid's board game for some people. They might classify it as a game only made to be played for children at elementary during their break time or a sleepover. Wrong. I found it very fun to play since I appreaciate the simplicity of it. The only thing I could comment on is probably the board, which they could have made a little bigger for longer game play and more sugar cubes. Sugar cubes are the main goal of the game and them game gets very fierce at the end when there's only one sugar cube remaining and you're all trying to get it for yourself. It brings out the competitiveness of some people since the sugar cubes are for everyone and you can steal it from another ant, if you wish.
Overall, the game is simple yet fun and can be enjoyed by all ages and gender. Its definitely the type of game that I would bring at a small party or get together with my friends. I'm glad that I got to game test it for myself and I hope to play it again next time!

Game Review: Sheep Collapse
-Ren-Sheep Collapse is a game that is able to catch one's attention. In first glance you will have a statement similar to this:
"Is that Jenga?"
It is understandable for you to think such thoughts, But NO! It is not Jenga! nor are they in anyway similar in mechanics. The game is really good. The gameplay is well thought out and very enjoyable when played with others.
Sheep collapse is a board game that requires you to control one of four Sheep that is being attacked by a Wolf, Who wanted to be a sheep but is shunned by the Four sheep. Due to being Heartbroken and Angered by the Sheep. He swears to himself that he will destroy the houses that the Sheep have built for them to know how it felt to be in despair of having their dreams crushed.
The primary objective of the game is to have the tallest house built through the blocks that you are able to obtain by moving you players piece. The player with the highest house wins.
The Sheep (The Players) are given 4 rounds to collect all the resources that they are able to harvest from the board. Each player is given is given 5 action points which makes the players decide carefully for they have a small amount of points to use in-game.
The players are given a chance to use a skill called "Sprint" which allows them to move 4 tiles while only using 2 action points which gives some players a great advantage if they want to farm more coins and blocks than usual. But it has a catch, A player can only use "Sprint" once in every 4 rounds making most of the players either to save it for later or push their luck by using it in the first 2 rounds of the 4 rounds.
The wolf (Can be used by all 4 players at the cost of their own AP) is the game device that lets people move the wolf away from their home for the safety of getting attacked at the 4th round. This in turn makes the game more enjoyable as it makes the game more intense later on when everybody starts focusing on destroying each others base through manipulating the movements of the wolf. Events such as the 3 of the 4 sheep ganging up on one is inevitable as this can be a common events at this sort of game. I myself led an attack to a fellow sheep once. 3 of us ganged up on 1. Lets just say it took a few minutes to fix the friendship I had with the person. The wolf's attacks are controlled via Wolf cards. Card which control the damages of the wolf's attacks.
With enough coins that a player can collect through the board he/she is given a chance to buy Cards. Cards that have an effect to your house such as Rebuild, Protect and many more Abilities that will aid you in maintaining and building a proper house.
This game is a fun game to play and is very amusing to see your friends have slightly violent reactions to you while you make the wolf do a beeline to their house which signifies their hard earned work all through out the game. Sheep collapse is game the you must play with your friends if you want a friendly fight of sorts. To sum up all the things that I've said in this review, You need to play it and play it now! Fights have never been so friendly!
